CSU Sacramento has a high population of students that skateboard. The school wanted to get boards out of classrooms by offering a safe and secure place for them to park.
CSU Sacramento piloted offering one of the countries elite skateboard racks, the Skatedock, on campus to test for students’ reaction. The idea was overwhelmingly positive and students were drawn into the design and premise. Not only securing skateboards and long boards, but scooters as well.
“’I skate and this is a great idea. Finally we are given the same opportunity as bicyclists, cars, and motorcycles to park. Great idea!’”
– Matt Blanco, CSUS Student
